1. Market Highlights
Generally speaking, the domestic flat steel market performance this month remained worse than that of May. The demand from downstream industries shrank further dragged by the high temperature in North China and continuous rains in South China. Reporting insufficient orders for final products, end users maintained low operating rates and kept cautious about purchasing. Both steel mills and traders faced heavy sales pressures and showed little confidence in the market prospect.
In the meantime, the international flat steel market performed inactively during the month, and participants adopted wait-and-see attitudes towards the market prospect.
