Overview
Entering 2023, the global market continued to encounter profound changes unseen in a century, with global geopolitical conflicts flushing commodity market and high inflation in Europe and the US restraining economy recovery. The global economy remained weak and still faced potential risks of financial crisis. However, the antimony market showed strong resilience during the year with the average annual price increased to a record high, even though both the supply and demand remained soft. The global focus on the development and utilization of antimony resources and China’s strong growths in exports of NEVs, lithium-ion batteries and PV products enhanced the antimony market's confidence, and became the major driver of price increase during the year.
As the new year dawned following a series of economic stimulus policies published by countries, will the global economy break the negative trend in 2024? First established in 2012, the Antimony Forum hosted by Asian Metal is dedicated to become a global forum summit event for antimony industry.
