Prices of wire rod and rebar in most domestic markets showed an up-down trend in February. Before the Spring Festival, prices were unchanged and in two or three days after the holiday, prices increased sharply due to higher ex-works prices, but then, they moved down time and time again in following days without the support of strong demand. About the coming market in March, observers predict that the demand from construction projects will increase but the price of raw material-iron ore is likely to keep moving down, so prices of wire rod and rebar will show a slight upward trend.
