OVERVIEW
After suffering continuous downturn from H2 of 2011 to 2019 and slow recovery in 2020, Chinese rare earth market witnessed climbing prices in 2021. Driven by optimistic attitudes from rare earth oxide producers toward demand outlook, tight supply of rare earth ore, as well as power restriction and other factors, the rare earth oxides supply kept tight and the rare earth metal prices climbed. However, Chinese NdFeB magnet producers faced difficulties in raising prices accordingly. Chinese catalyst, polishing powder, and other downstream industries remained dim.
The overseas rare earth industry still faced tough challenge in 2021. Dragged by continuously spread of COVID-19, the overseas economy remained dim. International rare earth miners still had difficulties in developing projects. Overseas downstream industries, such as NdFeB magnet, catalyst, polishing powder, luminescent materials, alloy and ceramics markets, suffered challenges. Terminal industries, for instance, electric vehicle, suffered challenges still faced severe tests.
What lies ahead the Chinese rare earth industry in 20212 What challenges will international rare earth market faces? What opportunities and difficulties will rare earth downstream industries, such as NdFeB magnet, catalyst and polishing powder markets, confront with? Let's reunite in the 13th Rare Earth Summit in Ningbo, Zhejiang on 19-20 May 2021. The summit welcomes industry elites from all over the world to exchange ideas, to share inspiration and to probe opportunities.
What is the prospect of Chinese rare earth industry in 2022? Will overseas rare earth industry embrace a favourable turnaround in 2022? What opportunities and challenges will downstream industries such as NdFeB magnet, catalyst and polishing powder industries face in 2022? Let’s welcome all the industry elites to reunite in the 13th Rare Earth Summit in Hangzhou, Zhejiang on 22-23 September, 2022 to exchange ideas, to share inspirations, to probe opportunities, and to discuss the future development of rare earth industry.
