Prices of welded pipe was stable in first part of this month but witnessed a slightly downward trend in major Chinese domestic markets after the Spring Festival as the demand hasn’t released from the holiday. Some downstream customers did not restarted business and prices of raw materials such as steel billet and HR strip kept decreasing. Since the government strengthened regulation and oversight of the real estate market, the market became unclear. As the NPC&CPPCC will be held in March, insiders deem that the market is likely to recover and prices are likely to go up at the middle of next month.
