This month, Baosteel and WISCO increased list prices of silicon steel by RMB200-300/t (VAT excluded) this month. As a result, prices of silicon steel in prevailing markets witnessed an upward trend due to higher list prices. Most traders are confident of the market after Spring Festival, and they are likely to continue to increase offers considering the high purchase cost. Insiders foresee a higher market price next month.
