Prices of welded pipe witnessed an upward trend in major Chinese domestic markets like Tianjin, Shanghai and Guangzhou, affected by price increases of raw materials. Traders were cautious about the coming market and did not build up large inventories and downstream customers also did not hold large stocks. The Spring Festival (February 9) is approaching, and most participants had left the market, so the market will be quiet early next month. However, after February 18, the price is likely to increase when more and more customers begin to purchase products.
