Selenium market rebounds, affected by the news that manganese export tariff will be cancelled in 2013. Many manganese smelters intend to remain or resume operation based on the favorable news, so demand for selenium dioxide shows some improvement, yet not strong and selenium dioxide prices rise sharply and then the pick-up slows down. Selenium supply is still abundant in China, where end users still wait to see the market. Tellurium market remains quiet in China, with prices dropping gradually. End users still purchase from hand to mouth and thin deals are made in the spot market.
