Prices of welded pipe witnessed a markup of RMB50-220/t in major Chinese domestic markets like Tianjin, Shanghai and Guangzhou, in line with sharp price increases of raw materials such as iron ore, steel billet and HR strip. The weather gets colder and the demand is difficult to release though some good news has been published by the government. However, prices of raw materials keep increasing, with the approach of the Spring Festival, insiders predict prices are likely to increase further next month because some customers should replenish enough products.
