Prices of stainless scrap decreased slightly this month, in line with a poor market performance. In the meantime, the price of nickel kept fluctuating and its trend was unclear, heightening market participants’ cautious attitudes. In the meantime, considering the economy in Chinese domestic market was expected to be better in the first quarter of 2013, traders were waiting for a price rise, but they did not think the price or the market could make any progress in January when downstream foundries were to halt production for holiday.
