Driven by steel price increase in the past several weeks, some steel producers resumed production in November. However, steel price began to drop again in later November and steel producers suffered loss again. Brown fused alumina market still ran slowly with thin profit. Producers in Yichuan even operated furnace intermittently to avoid the peak time, while some producers in Guizhou began to cut down output or halt production as the power preferential period was over. Export market saw some orders as some European consumers began to replenish inventories for Christmas.
