Chinese steel plate prices increased continuously in the first half of November due to the tight supply and growing ex-works prices. However, they began to drop slowly in the second half of the month because of the weak demand and low sales volumes. The price in East and South China moved up through November while it dropped slightly in North China. Considering the downward prices of HRC and raw materials, insiders deem that the price is likely to fall in the coming December.
