After the price dived by USD500-600/t, Australian zircon sand market became active in a short time, but the market turned to quiet in the second half of October with price going down slightly to USD1,900-1,950/t for Australian zircon sand 66% from USD2,100-2,200/t late Septemer. Indonesian zircon sand started going back Chinese domestic market, followed Australian zircon sand market, the price dropped to USD1,800/t for Indonesian zircon sand 65.5% from USD2,300-2,400/t in this June. Hainan zircon sand market became very sluggish and price also decreased to RMB12,000/t VAT excluded for Hainan zircon sand 65% late October.
Heavily affected by zircon sand market, zirconium silicate price decreased to RMB16,500/t for zirconium silicate 64.5%, and the market becomes very slow with most processors producing at their half capacity.
Following the decreasing zircon sand market, zirconium oxychloride market turned very weak with the mainstream price dropping to RMB13,500-14,000/t late October.
Zirconium sponge market became more active compared to the market in September with price dropping by RMB5/kg to around RMB195/kg.
