Domestic steel market increased differently by RMB100-300/t this month. Burden fines prices ran at RMB2,750-2,770/t VAT included delivered by cash payment in Jiangsu. HMS prices held at RMB2,800-2,820/t VAT included delivered in Tianjin. In Guangdong, shredded prices ran at RMB2,750-2,770/t VAT excluded delivered and HMS price stayed at RMB2,550-2,570/t VAT excluded delivered by cash payment.
Steel scrap price increased in this month because: first, steel scrap price rose as procurements came as a cluster from steel mills running out of steel scrap after long-term of sluggishness; second, demand from steel products market improved a little with the practice of former approved projects. Increases of building materials market contributed more in the price uptick of raw material like steel scrap; third, steel mills lift price to reserve steel scrap in winter as the weather grows colder .
