Prices of wire rod and rebar in China witnessed a down-up trend in September along with the fluctuating prices of raw materials. The demand from end users did not release much in the traditionally high season which was so-called Golden September, but supported by positive news released by both China government and other economies, such as QE3, prices of wire rod and rebar in China began moving up from the second week of this month. Before the National Day and Mid-Autumn Day holiday (Sep 30-Oct 7), the market tended to be steady, and prices did not make much change. Observers predict that prices are likely to go up further in October.
