Generally prices of welded pipe showed an upward trend this month boosted by sharp price rises of raw materials like iron ore, steel billet and HR strip, with a markup of around RMB300/t. However, traders were not confident of the coming market and they just supplemented inventories according to shortage of grades to avoid potential risks. Considering there are fewer working days in October except 8-day holiday of Mid-Autumn and National Day, insiders do not think the market will recover next month.
