Prices of seamless pipe kept decreasing in most areas across the country this month due to lowering prices of raw materials, as well as declining list prices of steel mills. Therein, leading steel mills like Baotou Steel and Ansteel moved down ex-works prices of seamless pipe by RMB50-300/t during the period. Besides, traders were suffering great losses and confronted with enormous financial pressures as the demand from downstream buyers showed no sign of releasing.
