Prices of seamless pipe kept stable in general during the first half of this month in the domestic market of China, but they showed a sharp downward trend in the second one both influenced by price decreases of raw materials and ex-works price declines of steel mills. Therein, leading steel mills like Baosteel, Pangang Group Chengdu Branch, Ansteel and Xinye Steel lowered ex-works prices of seamless pipe by RMB100-150/t during the period in question. Besides, traders burdened heavy capital pressure and they were not confident of the coming market due to limited sales volumes.
