Chinese domestic steel plate prices further moved down sharply in the month on customers’ soft demand. Most traders faced high sales pressure under customers’ wait-and-see attitude. In addition, major steel mills like HBIS announced to lower their list prices for June, which made market participants more pessimistic about the forthcoming market. Insiders suppose that Chinese steel plate market will remain sluggish in the coming month.
