The Chinese indium market continued to be weak in April as a result of the low demand from downstream industries
. The indium prices moved down slowly . As the demand from the ITO industry still does not show any sign of recovery, there were few deals been concluded in the spot market . The producers were unwilling to lower their offers sharply due to the high production cost . The prices of indium metal 99.99%min moved down from RMB3,500-3,600/kg (USD555-571/kg) VAT included early this month to RMB3,430-3,530/kg (USD544-560/kg) VAT included late this month . The unstable global economy leads to the slow activities of downstream industries . The demand is still quite low, therefore, the indium market will remain inactive in May.
