Selenium and tellurium markets stay sluggish in May with prices sliding continuously. There is no improvement from the demand side in both domestic and global markets. Though China import decreases much, supply of selenium powder is still sufficient in the spot market, depressing suppliers who become eager to clear stocks. The lower offers from foreign suppliers result in lower expectation towards future market. Tellurium prices go stable in the second half of the month as the prices have reached a considerably low level but as demand remains dull, buyers are still watching and expect for lower prices in the coming months.
