Movements of cast steel and iron went well with smooth sales from iron plants driven by rebounding steel products price in the first half of April. Iron price increased by RMB20-50/t slightly in Jiangsu, Shanxi, Hebei and Shandong supported by relatively tight supply and high cost, coupled with uptick of purchasing price of steel mills. However, movements slowed down with little new orders received by iron plants after price lifting. In addition, steel products price dropped, cooling the market sentiment for movements. Therefore, iron price fell by RMB20-30/t gradually in the latter half of April.
