Long Qiyu, vice president of Kemet Asian business remarked during an interview with our publication recently, “Tantalum capacitor supply was tightened in the year before last and the first half of last year. It has kept relatively stable since the second half of last year and high polymer products are expected to face short of supply as only Kemet and Sanyo have stocks at present. NEC used to hold high polymer tantalum capacitor. But it has to reconstruct its factories which are seriously hit by flood in Thailand. So, high polymer tantalum capacitor supply will fluctuate.”
