In the first half of March, domestic and international cobalt markets kept dropping because of weak demand
. March was the last month of Japan's fiscal year, and consumers reduced inventory as low as possible . Sources reported that Japanese traders dumped cobalt metal in international market during March, which pulled down cobalt market prices . Most European insiders lacked confidence in the market and didn’t believe the market could rebound in a short time for weak demand caused by economic uncertainty in Europe . Consumers took wait-and-see attitude . In Chinese market, demand from lithium battery industry grew slightly in March.
