In March, silicon carbide market got improvement slightly, but many smelters just ran at half of capacity. The general operating rate was 50% for black silicon carbide and about 10% for green silicon carbide. Export market kept dull with few enquiries and orders. Prices of export license dropped from RMB1,800/t (USD285/t) to RMB1,500/t (USD238/t).
