1 Cobalt price analysis in China
Debt crisis got worse in 2011 and the development pace of Chinese economy slowed down since it has experienced rapid growth in the previous years and cobalt market was impacted. In general, cobalt market was on the downward trend and cobalt price only rebounded in the short term in January, May and August. By the end of December 2011, cobalt metal price in China had dropped to RMB225,000/t (USD35,714/t), reaching close to the historical low record.
