Smelters in Guangxi stopped production after the Spring Festival holiday owing to cadmium pollution, and there were rumors that the output of antimony ingot would decreased and the prices of antimony products would went up, so within one week, the prices of antimony ingot 99.65%min and trioxide 99.5%min respectively increased from RMB71,500-74,000/t (USD11,331-11,727/t) ex works and RMB65,000-67,000/t (USD10,301-10,618/t) ex works to RMB79,500-82,000/t (USD12,520-12,995/t) ex works and RMB70,000-72,000/t (USD11,094-11,410/t) ex works with an increase pace of RMB8,000/t and RMB5,000/t respectively for antimony ingot and trioxide.
However, as the demand did not have any improvements and the market was slow, then the prices of antimony ingot 99.65%min and trioxide 99.5%min went up slightly to RMB80,500-83,000/t (USD12,758-13,154/t) ex works and RMB71,000-73,000/t (USD11,252-11,569/t) ex works, but the buying activities in spot market were few, till the second part of February, the prices of antimony ingot 99.65%min and trioxide 99.5%min wend down slowly to RMB76,500-79,000/t (USD12,124-12,520/t) ex works and RMB70,000-72,000/t (USD11,094-11,410/t) ex works.
