Chinese domestic steel plate price went up this month. Market situation are different in different regions. In East China, the demand from consumers began to increase in the second half of the month which supported the price to move up while in North and South China, steel mills had a long-term equipment maintenance for steel plate rolling lines and the production was reduced accordingly. Therefore, supported by low inventories, traders raised their offers. Considering the demand is likely to release in March when it is regarded as a busy season, insiders suppose that the price is likely to go up slightly.
