Supported by the short supply early this month, the price of electrical steel moved up greatly. However, the demand remained soft and the market performance was unfavorable, so traders had to reduce their prices. Nevertheless, seeing most steel mills have moved up ex-works prices for March production by around RMB300-400/t, insiders predict that with the support of the high purchase cost, the price is unlikely to drop in the coming month.
