With the rising price of lithium ore, Chinese lithium carbonate producers seized the opportunity to raise their prices and lithium carbonate price rose continuously in January. Due to coming of Spring Festival holiday coming at the end of January, consumers replenished inventory in large volumes and the supply was tight. However, lithium hydroxide price kept stable as demand from oil grease industry was weak.
