Chinese domestic steel plate market ran very quiet in the first month of 2012 when two holidays-the New Year holiday and the Spring Festival holiday came together. Consequently, many players took holiday in the middle of the month. However, prices went up just before the Spring Festival because it was a tradition and this year was not an exception. Insiders foresee a better market in February when participants come back.
