This month, affected by the New Year holiday as well as the Spring Festival holiday, the demand for section steel in domestic market was slim, but prices in major markets were generally stable as most steel traders were holding wait-and-see attitudes and refused to lower quotations. Because of the two holidays, downstream customers were unwilling to purchase materials to avoid risks, which led directly to a soft demand in the market. With most market participants gradually coming back to the market after the Spring Festival, insiders believe that the market will gradually improve in the following month.
