The price of aluminum generally stabilized after a fluctuation with a downward trend at home and abroad in December. Chinese Aluminum plants did not massively cut production, though they suffered from losses with price rising late November. The domestic price of aluminum hovered at RMB16,000/t late December. Participants held a pessimistic attitude towards the price at home and abroad in Q1 since the demand kept weak due to uncertainties in European debt crisis.
