In early December, the prices of antimony ingot 99.65%min and trioxide 99.5%min respectively kept at RMB80,000-82,500/t and RMB72,000-74,000/t ex works for almost one week, however, as customers made purchase from hand to mouth and there were few deals in spot market, and then the price went down and down to RMB69,500-72,000/t and RMB66,000-68,000/t ex works for antimony ingot 99.65%min and trioxide 99.5%min till 20th December. Within two weeks, the prices of antimony ingot and trioxide respectively decreased by RMB9,500/t and RMB6,000/t. In the last week of December, the price of antimony ingot 99.65%min and trioxide 99.5%min maintained at above levels.
Many customers from overseas market held a pessimistic attitude toward the future market in December, believing the prices of antimony ingot and trioxide could not stop dropping in the short term, and most of them took a hand-to-mouth purchasing style and watch the market closely at the same time expecting a further price decrease after the New Year holiday, so the antimony export market saw few deals in December.
