This month prices of section steel in Chinese prevailing markets fluctuated dramatically and generally moved downward. Although most traders were willing to lower prices to attract customers because of the weak demand, the market ran quietly all through this month and did not make any improvements. Considering the unsatisfactory sales performance as well as the narrow capital low, most traders postponed building the winter stock to the next month. As the year end is coming, market observers believe the price is likely to move downward in the following month but the markdown will be small in view of the low inventory and upward raw materials prices.
