After Chemetall and FMC announced to raise their lithium products prices from July 1, domestic lithium products prices began to increase. During June to August, lithium price kept going up. However, the momentum of price rise slowed down in September as the overall economy recessed. As some of the major manufactures of industrial grade lithium carbonate have not resumed production, the supply shows a little bit tight and price kept rising in September. Though battery grade lithium carbonate and lithium hydroxide producers intended to raise prices, downstream users could not accept higher offers, so the prices tended to be stable.
