Although the summer vacation ended in early September, participants had not seen any improvements on demand; pessimism prevailed in the market and participants remained wait-and-see attitude. Hit by the high unemployment rate in US and European debt crisis, indium prices dropped significantly in September. As many consumers put off taking positions and kept low stocks, few deals were concluded in September. The slow indium market is unlikely to improve in a short time, and the indium price could further drop in October.
