The European debt crisis spread further in September which caused serious setback in US, European and Asian-Pacific stock market. There was great concern about the coming of the second crisis. The domestic and overseas aluminum ingot market sharply decreased due to weak domestic and overseas economy and negative macroscopic news. As the price of aluminum dramatically slid, there was little activity in Chinese aluminum market in September. Participants had no confidence in the market and they chose to watch the market. The price of electricity was high in domestic aluminum ingot enterprises and it moved up further in Southwest China due to the power shortage. Some aluminum ingot plants faced losses again in Henan and Southwest China. Some aluminum ingot plants reduced production but it could not support the price.
