Section steel prices in most Chinese markets were stable early September but it fell dramatically later and kept going down dramatically till the month end dragged by the declining raw material price and the weak demand from downstream customers. Though it was the so-called traditional peak season, “Golden September” performed out of market’s expectation and disappointed most section steel traders. Considering the still decreasing raw material price and the slim demand, insiders believe the market is unlikely to recover in October.
