Bismuth market remained firm in the first eight months of 2011 when the price rose further to higher levels. However, with more end users leaving the market and the foreign buyers still absent, thin deals were made. Some suppliers became more willing to release some stocks even at relatively lower prices. Later the month, bismuth price dropped a bit as small sized producers were clearing stocks. Major supplier remained reluctant to sell and insisted on firm offers, waiting for the demand to improve.
