Influenced by the expansion of European and US debts crisis, the aluminum ingot prices decreased sharply in August. Meanwhile, the upstream demand for aluminum ingot was weak with few activities. Producers were also able to make profits and keep a high operating rate. However, due to the electricity shortage in Southwest China, some aluminum ingot producers are controlling their output. With the declines of aluminum ingot, the domestic alumina market went down with deceases of prices.
