The overall germanium metal market remained weak in July and the market demand was softened further by European summer holidays. The standoff situation of suppliers and buyers continued so the market price kept unchanged through July. Sources expected little fluctuation into next month; however, September is as a potential time when new contracts or long-term purchases could be made.
