Due to the weakening US dollar, copper prices in London and Shanghai climbed up during the month. However, copper prices fluctuated narrowly on the worsening debt problems from United States and Europe. Currently, it is still the slack season for copper consumption, and consumers are still cautious to make purchase. In this case, most participants believe that there would be little room for the prices to go up further in August.
