Bismuth market remained very firm in July when demand of bismuth was stable with end users purchasing mostly from hand to mouth. But pushed by tightening supply of raw material, bismuth production decreased, pushing the price to rise very quickly in the month. Downstream bismuth oxide price also followed the upward trend but rose relatively slower. Overseas markets did not recover though the decreasing supply also pushed the price to climb gradually in European spot market. Most participants were very optimistic about bismuth market late this year even though bismuth price already had reached a much higher level than that in the previous year.
