Germanium trading in the overall market had remained sluggish with delayed purchases in the spot market in June. However, the Chinese major producers were reluctant to depreciate offers for using them as raw material to produce downstream products like germanium crystal and infrared products. The standoff of suppliers and buyers continued which made the market price remained stable in June. While germanium dioxide price still stood at a relatively high level due to the constrained worldwide supply.
