In June, chrome ore market remains on the downward trend. The purchasing prices from major steel mills are decreasing gradually, so many smelters have great pressure on their ferrochrome production. Chrome ore traders have large quantities of stocks on hand due to weak demand, so they have little intention of importing those materials and hold wait-and-see attitudes towards the market. Many participants believed that in July chrome market is more likely to go down further and there will not be any significant improvement soon.
