Bismuth market was inactive in early May when demand did not recover much and some suppliers were ready to sell at lower prices but as major consumers started to return, the price rebounded very quickly. Higher production cost also pushed the suppliers to increase bismuth price. The overseas markets followed after the price went up in China. As producers were gaining confidence about the future, many of them were reluctant to sell.
