The antimony market was very dull in April; very few deals have been concluded in the whole month. The price of antimony dropped after five months’ increase in April, but customers waited too long for this moment, so they were expecting lower price holding a watch attitude. Additionally, some customers were trying substitutes.
The closing price for antimony ingot 99.65%min once touched RMB85,000-86,000/t VAT excluded or RMB95,500/t ex works as some suppliers were worried about the future market, however, only a few deals were concluded at this level, because most of the suppliers held their offers firmly. For antimony trioxide 99.5%min, the closing price reached as low as RMB89,000/t ex works.
