    1 Market Highlights
    1.1 Prebaked anode

    Prebaked anode prices in China went up in January due to the increased pet coke prices. The demand remained flat.

    Export prices moved up as well supported by the increased cost and buyers turned prudent.

    1.2 Pet coke

    Pet coke prices climbed quickly this month as the demand from negative electrode materials improved.

    1.3 Graphite electrode

    Supported by the lifted pet coke price, graphite electrode prices in China moved up and export prices followed up as well.

    1.4 CPC

    After pet coke prices moved up, CPC prices rose this month and the demand improved.

    1.5 Coal tar pitch

    Coal tar pitch prices rebounded from the middle of this month since producers cut production due to losses.
