    1. Market Highlights

    In early September, prices increased as most consumers remained active in placing orders market saw stable transactions. Discouraged by weak demand from downstream consumers, molybdenum concentrate and molybdenum oxide prices decreased since the second week.

    Following prices of molybdenum concentrate, Chinese ferromolybdenum prices rose in early September. As most steel mills remained reluctant in purchasing, prices decreased as lower production cost in the second week.

    Following the trend of molybdenum concentrate, downstream molybdenum chemical products and molybdenum metal prices remained stable firstly since early September and started to decrease in the second week of September.

    In international molybdenum market, as strong demand, market prices of molybdenum products showed uptrend early September but then went down due to weak demand since the second week.
